A Few Notes For The Black Arrow Baseball Team

Guys, we hope you're glad to be a part of this team! Winning is great, but hopefully you guys are having fun for more than just that!

Our rule is that (unless we just can't help it), each player sits an inning. The problem is that we have 12 players, so that's 3 players an inning. Sorry that you have to sit, but there are teams that don't follow that rule. Thanks for understanding!

Every player will make mistakes this year. Everyone. In fact, Coach Delvan made the first mistake of the game!!! Even the coaches make mistakes. But, let's smile, shake it off and get better, OK? Hey, we're here in Rec League to have fun!

We all promised to be a TEAM when we are together at practice or games. Let's keep being that TEAM. You will look back on this year with a smile if you do.

Friday Game & Notes

First: No practice this weekend. Two games this week (one ending late Friday night) is enough baseball for any 11 or 12-year old kid. And their parents, too!

Second: We play Friday night at 7:45pm. Be there around an hour before so that we can take batting practice, go over base-stealing with some Black Arrows, and be ready in case the 6pm game ends early!

Team Picture and Notes

Guys, just a few notes....

We had only 7 members of the team at our last game. Josh showed up at the last minute. Actually, past the last minute, but Freibert was nice enough to wait on us. The game times are on this site and if you can't make it, you HAVE to let somebody know. We played with 8 Thursday night (AND WON!), but we have to be prepared. It's only fair to the rest of the team.

We had 2 members show up for practice today (Josh Sampson and Hunter Martin). We have to let people know when we can't make practice, too. People work very hard to make sure they are there to help and to get better.
